1000 Hills Chef School at the Clarens Craft Beer Festival

The 1000 Hills Chef School brewing team recently headed to the beautiful town of Clarens for the three-day Clarens Craft Beer Festival, joining brewers from across South Africa for a weekend celebrating craft beer.

The team showcased six of our craft beers, giving festival goers a taste of the growing 1000 Hills brewing range.

A highlight of the lineup was our specialty festival brew, Dragon Root Ginger Beer, a bold and refreshing ginger beer brewed with the assistance of our chef school students. Another standout was the Jacaranda Gose, which proved to be hot property throughout the weekend. This distinctive sour beer, brewed with coriander, salt and lime, quickly became a favourite among festival visitors.

Also making the trip were The Professor Steam Beer, The Quarteback, The Dean, and The FES, completing the lineup and offering something for every craft beer enthusiast.

Adding to the great festival atmosphere was our own Mr T, who brought the good vibes with a set on the vinyl DJ decks, keeping the energy high throughout the event.

It was a fantastic weekend of craft beer, great music, and sharing the 1000 Hills brewing story with new audiences.
